As predicted in the Fifth Assessment Report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the worldwide temperature is liable to increase from 0.3 °C to 4.8 °C over a span of twenty-first century due to excess of primary greenhouse gases like water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone in the atmosphere. These greenhouse gases have significantly influenced the temperature as in the absence of such gases earth’s average temperature would have been about 33 °C colder than the present temperature of 14 °C. The projected increase in temperature is expected to raise the sea level to 4 feet by 2100 which is likely to melt almost the same depth of snow, hence reducing the area of snow sheet. Sheer climate change beyond 2 °C may lead to unprecedented security scenarios as it is likely to trigger a number of tipping points. Climate change will influence all spheres of life to varying degrees which will be compounded due to the effects of globalization on facets of trade, travel, exploration, and research that would lead to further accelerate reversible alliances addressing the global security intimidations mostly caused in oceans affecting the Blue Diplomacy.
