Contemporary society is shaped by rapid technological advancement, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence breakthroughs. While these innovations drive scientific progress and enhance the overall quality of life, they also introduce profound challenges—particularly in terms of individual well-being. The intensified pace of life, heightened exposure to digital stimuli, and increasing societal expectations contribute to uncertainty, where individuals, especially youth, may feel overwhelmed, distracted, and vulnerable. Young people today must navigate a complex interplay of socioeconomic shifts, evolving political dynamics, digital interactions, environmental crises, social instability, and fluctuating social norms. These multidimensional uncertainties raise critical questions: Do scientific and technological advancements truly improve our lives, or do they exacerbate emotional distress and cognitive burden? Technological advancements designed to connect and empower can also leave individuals feeling isolated and disconnected, raising concerns about alienation, identity search, and mental health challenges. This chapter examines the urging need to focus on developing youth that will be prepared to successfully exploit the benefits of the advancements while being able to learn how to cope with different challenges, to become resilient, and to learn to develop and express their individuality and uniqueness and ensure physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being.
