摘要

Existing discourses on entrepreneurship identify digitalization as a solution toward overcoming barriers for women in entrepreneurship. Women entrepreneurs primarily face the problem of identity and gender stereotyping given that entrepreneurship is identified as a more masculine concept. While digitalization is not a magic solution, the benefits of digitalization have been found by studies to positively impact women entrepreneurs and act as an enabler. However, social constructs especially in developing countries also influence digitalization of women entrepreneurs. The federal state of Kerala in India has been assessed to understand whether digitalization among women entrepreneurs performs better in regions with better social and cultural systems.
