摘要

Climate neutrality is a concept that refers to the balance between the amount of greenhouse gasses (GHGs) emitted into the atmosphere as a result of human activity and the amount of these gases that are removed from the atmosphere. It is a critical concept in mitigating climate change. The goal of climate neutrality is to ensure that the net emissions of GHGs remain at zero or as close to zero as possible. In order to achieve this, countries must adopt and implement policies and initiatives that reduce emissions and promote the uptake of low-carbon technologies and practices, and enable the proper functioning of carbon markets for the purchase of carbon offset credits. Circular agriculture applies the principles of the circular economy to the agricultural sector. Circular agriculture has the potential to transform the economic, social, and environmental sustainability of food production and help the food systems achieve climate neutrality in Southeast Asia.
