Nerve injuries around the hip, particularly those involving the obturator, ilioinguinal, lateral femoral cutaneous, and pudendal nerves, are an often-overlooked source of pain in athletes and active individuals. These injuries can lead to significant morbidity due to delayed diagnosis and inadequate treatment. Each nerve has a distinct anatomical course, motor and sensory functions, and mechanisms of injury, often linked to specific sports or surgical procedures. Early recognition and targeted intervention, including conservative management and, when necessary, surgical decompression, are essential for successful treatment and return to activity. This chapter reviews the anatomy, epidemiology, clinical features, diagnostic strategies, and management of these nerve entrapments, highlighting their impact on athletic performance and recovery.
