摘要

Subspine impingement is a prevalent contributor to extra-articular femoroacetabular impingement. While often associated with femoroacetabular impingement, it can also manifest as the primary factor leading to anterior hip pain and functional limitations in young, active individuals. Early detection and a heightened awareness are crucial for prompt diagnosis and the implementation of suitable treatment. Hip arthroscopy is seldom recommended as the sole intervention for subspine impingement; however, it is commonly included in arthroscopic procedures addressing femoroacetabular impingement. Arthroscopic subspine decompression offers the benefit of preserving the capsule, involving little to no extra-articular impact, and yielding positive patient-reported outcome measures.
