Popliteal Artery Entrapment Syndrome
摘要
Popliteal artery entrapment syndrome (PAES) is a commonly misdiagnosed condition that should be considered in young patients presenting with low-extremity claudication complaints. PAES can be subdivided into two categories: (1) congenital and anatomic and (2) functional. For diagnosis, physical examination, ankle-brachial index, duplex ultrasonography, and advanced imaging methods including MRI and MRA and CT and CTA can evaluate the entrapment and classification. If present a vascular surgeon should be consulted for planning a surgical treatment.
