Interdigital (Morton’s) Neuroma
摘要
Interdigital (Morton’s) neuroma is an intermetatarsal entrapment neuropathy in which the neuroma is secondary to excessive stress on the forefoot or pressure from narrow shoes. Nonsurgical treatment is effective, including shoe modification, insole use, and corticosteroid injection(s). Neurectomy through dorsal (or plantar) approach is the most popular surgical method. Careful differential diagnosis made by physical examination and imaging, and selection of the most appropriate treatment are important.
