Tibial Shaft Fracture
摘要
Sports-related tibial shaft fractures may be the result of either low- or high-energy trauma. Apart from the fact that each of these fractures has its own specificities, the specific characteristics of the anatomic region where they occur are such that their treatment requires the surgeon to be particularly mindful of complications such as compartment syndrome, infection, or pseudoarthrosis. This chapter provides a review of the relevant anatomy, the different types of tibial shaft fracture, and the treatment and rehabilitation methods available.
