摘要

Osgood Schlatter’s Disease (OSD) and Sinding-Larsen-Johansson Syndrome (SLJS) are common conditions in skeletally immature patients that cause pain in the anterior knee. OSD is typically diagnosed clinically based on the presence of anterior knee pain, swelling, and tenderness at the tibial tubercle. Radiographs help to exclude other conditions of the knee. OSD is usually treated conservatively through activity restriction, anti-inflammatory medication, and physical therapy. In rare cases where symptoms persist following physeal closure and when conservative treatment has failed, surgery is effective. Clinical diagnosis of SLJS includes tenderness at the distal patella. Like OSD, radiographs help to rule out other conditions. The treatment of SLJS is usually conservative and includes pain and anti-inflammatory medication, rest, and stretching.
