Other Intra-articular Synovial Pathology
摘要
Tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) is a benign proliferative synovial disorder that can occur in a diffuse or localized form and in both intra-articular and extra-articular locations. It is a member of the family of conditions that includes giant cell tumor of tendon sheath (GCTTS) and pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS). The articular form of tenosynovial giant cell tumor (previously called PVNS) typically occurs diffusely within the joint (referred to as D-TGCT), but can occur as a localized, nodular synovial lesion. Tenosynovial giant cell tumor can involve tendon sheaths or bursae (previously called giant cell tumor of tendon sheath); this variety is most common in the tendons of the hand.
