Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic multisystem autoimmune disease with diverse clinical manifestations, frequently involving multiple organ systems and encountered across radiology subspecialties. Imaging plays a crucial role in assessing disease extent, monitoring progression, detecting complications, and guiding management. This chapter reviews the characteristic radiologic findings of SLE across the musculoskeletal system. Emphasis is placed on multimodal imaging approaches to highlight typical patterns, differentiate SLE from mimics, and address therapy-related findings, ultimately aiding timely diagnosis and improved patient outcomes.
