Soft tissue injuries of the wrist and hand pose a significant diagnostic challenge due to the small size of the anatomical structures and the complexity of the injuries. Clinical correlation with imaging findings is essential for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate therapeutic management. Ulnar-sided impingements are a common clinical problem. Conventional radiography and MRI allow for precise assessment of the spectrum of injuries associated with these entities. De Quervain’s tenosynovitis and extensor carpi ulnaris pathology are the most frequent tendinous injuries in the wrist. The high resolution and dynamic capability of ultrasound make it the primary diagnostic tool for evaluation of these pathologies. Ultrasonography additionally serves as an important guide for interventional therapeutic procedures. Traumatic pathologies of the fingers, including tendinous injuries, flexor pulley injuries, ligament injuries, and volar plate injuries, are common, especially in occupational and sports-related cases. Diagnosing traumatic finger pathology should begin with a conventional radiographic study, with adjunct ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging facilitating further detailed evaluation of injuries and guiding optimal treatment approaches.
