Role of Combination Therapies in the Treatment of Non-small Cell Lung Cancer
摘要
Treating the majority of patients with lung cancer relies heavily on the combination treatment approach. Traditionally this has focused on chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery. Now patients are benefitting from the advent of new systemic therapeutics such as targeted agents, immunotherapy as well as minimally invasive treatments such as image-guided tumor ablation using thermal or radiation techniques. This chapter will review the rationale and current clinical scope of combining many of these new therapies in conjunction with image-guided tumor ablation.
