摘要

Cancer metastases to the liver is one of the most common causes of morbidity and mortality in many malignancies. Treatment of metastatic disease is complex, because conventional therapies used for primary tumors are often insufficient. Embolization of the liver lesions can augment conventional regimen for improved patient outcomes and overall survival. There are numerous approaches with different embolization strategies for different types of cancers. This chapter reviews available evidence for embolization techniques of colorectal carcinoma, neuroendocrine tumor, uveal melanoma, and breast cancer metastases to the liver.
