Revealing the Conceptual Framework

  • Nathalie Gravel

摘要

This chapter introduces the Blue-Green-Bee Framework, a comprehensive approach to guide future actions in an environmentally conscious world. The framework integrates three core elements: Blue (representing water and aquatic ecosystems), Green (symbolizing terrestrial ecosystems and green spaces), and Bee (highlighting pollinators’ biodiversity and interconnected ecological services). It emphasizes their interdependence and aims to inform public policies for environmental sustainability, conservation, and biodiversity protection. This chapter outlines the foundations and processes necessary for developing public policies that foster citizen engagement, empowering individuals to actively contribute to the shaping and stewardship of their valued territories. It highlights the ongoing need for environmental education to foster greater collaboration between citizens and Nature. Drawing from years of teaching geography, the author advocates for legal reforms that empower citizen groups to shape policies aligned with sustainable development principles for the common good.
