摘要

Facial asymmetry is a common condition impacted by a wide array of conditions. It often presents as a complex problem from the perspective of reconstruction. These conditions often require numerous surgeries throughout childhood and adolescence, and secondary procedures such as autogenous bone grafting and/or alloplastic implant placement may be necessary to normalize the facial skeleton. Fortunately, the ability to perform virtual surgical planning has improved the ability to compensate for bony and/or soft tissue loss and reduced operative time through the use of cutting guides, fixation templates, and/or fabrication of custom implants.
