Intraoral Distraction Osteogenesis in Facial Asymmetries

This chapter gives an overview about the indications, biology and biomechanics of intraoral distraction osteogenesis as its relates to the surgical management of facial and jaw asymmetry patients. It includes examples of clinical cases where predictable outcomes have been achieved with interdisciplinary collaboration. Historical perspective, surgical protocol, recent advances and future trends are discussed.
