This chapter will give an overview of the clinical and pathologic features of collagen type IV related glomerulopathies, with an emphasis on the spectrum of pathologic phenotypes in this genetically heterogeneous disease. This will be followed by a detailed, illustrated description of the ultrastructural features. Related terms include “Thin basement membrane disease” and “Alport syndrome.”
