摘要

Abigail Kellond (née Hawkins) (1642–1710/1) lived in Massachusetts, an English colony in America. Her only surviving work appears in a notebook (British Library, Egerton MS 2667) catalogued as “belonging to Thomas Kellond, with accounts and memoranda of Abigail his wife, 1684/5–1710.” This notebook contains many of Kellond’s household accounts, including her acquisition of meat and clothing. She shares the pages of this notebook with Thomas Kellond and an unidentified student of Latin grammar. Her writing also appears beside Sarah Hutchinson (née Foster), wife of Kellond’s nephew Thomas Hutchinson and daughter of her third husband, Colonel John Foster.
