Barbara MacKay, Lady Reay (d. after 1687), was a Scottish noblewoman, mother, and grandmother whose extant literary output consists of a primer in verse, an anagram poem about Charles II, and an epitaph. Living in the Highlands, she travelled south to London to petition Oliver Cromwell and Charles II. Her reputation as a poet and her Gaelic ethnicity suggest that her poetry had both a manuscript and an oral audience.
