Cheke, Mary
摘要
Mary Cheke (née Hill; later Mackwilliam) (c. 1532–1616) was a gentlewoman with court connections, and a lifelong servant of Elizabeth I. She was married to the Greek scholar John Cheke and had three sons by him. Her second husband was also a courtier. She seems to have participated in literary games, and a single poem written by her survives.
