Martin, Dorcas

Dorcas Martin (1537–1599) was a wealthy wife, homeowner and mother who promoted the Protestant godly cause in sixteenth-century England. Her life and activities remind modern scholars of the multiple ways in addition to authorship in which early modern women participated in early modern print culture.
