Boleyn, Anne, Queen of England

  • Susan Wabuda

摘要

Anne Boleyn (1500 or 1501–1536) was the second wife of King Henry VIII, and the most controversial queen consort in English history. Her marriage to the king represented a new future that broke England away from the papacy and from centuries of tradition. Although her ascendancy was brief and her life was interrupted, she was one of the earliest and most influential patrons who encouraged the reformation of the Church in England, which she pursued by proceeding along French evangelical lines.
