This chapter begins with an introduction to the Inventory Theory. Next it proposes the formulation of a varied set of theoretical inventory-related problems with their corresponding solutions. Specifically, basic EOQInventory theoryeconomic order quantity (EOQ) (economic order quantityInventory theoryeconomic order quantity) problems, EOQInventory theoryeconomic order quantity (EOQ) problems with non-null lead timesInventory theorynon-null lead times, EOQInventory theoryeconomic order quantity (EOQ) problems with discount for volumeInventory theorydiscount for volume and EOQInventory theoryeconomic order quantity (EOQ) problems with backorders are contemplated. The solution is carried out using the corresponding analytical formulae. Thus different formulations of the problems are proposed along with their solutions in relation to Industrial Organisation Engineering and in Management domain.
