Geo-seq is robust for in-depth gene expression analyses from tissue section at specific position coordinate across various tissue types. The abundance of specific transcripts and the whole transcriptomic architecture can be determined following region-specific laser capture microdissection, RNA extraction, and cDNA preparation. Generally, Geo-seq enables high-throughput profiling of the transcriptomic architecture encompassing over 8000 genes from a single sampled spot.
