This article describes an established method that allows the entire FISH process to be performed in suspension instead of on a slide, as is usually the case. This method, known as suspension FISH (S-FISH), has opened up new possibilities for analyzing the interphase structure of the human interphase nucleus in various tissues. The method is described, and some applications of this approach are presented.
