Structural Determination and Ligand Interaction of Macrophage Inhibitory Factor: A Standardized X-Ray Crystallography Approach

The determination of experimental X-ray crystal structures of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) with bound ligands is a crucial step in understanding their binding modes and steering medicinal chemistry efforts. Here, a generic method for the crystallization of MIF and subsequent structural analysis with ligands is described.
