Antitumor Properties of Mushroom Polysaccharides

Mushrooms are recognized as functional foods because of their bioactive components, which have a major positive impact on human health. Among the various bioactive chemicals identified from mushrooms, polysaccharides are widely recognized as the most potent substances with substantial antitumor effects. Here, we describe several strategies that account for the antitumor capabilities of medicinal mushrooms.
