Birth Date-Dependent Tracing of Neuronal Cell Lineage
摘要
Neuronal phenotypes are determined by their cell lineage and birth timing. The “neurogenic tagging” method controls these two key factors to classify distinct neuron subsets. The classified neuron subsets can then be used for various experimental manipulations. To spatially constrain the tagged neurons further, we combined this method with focal lentivirus injection. This approach allowed us to identify convergent axon projections of a specific subset of olfactory bulb neurons in the adult mice. This chapter describes the preparation of neurogenic-tagged mice for lentivirus injection.
