Enteric Glial Cell Culture to Mimic In Vivo Obesity and Neurodegenerative Disorders
摘要
When exposed to inflammatory and infectious stimuli, enteric glial cells (EGCs) exhibit an abnormal phenotype (phenomenon designated as reactive gliosis), releasing a plethora of inflammatory mediators that could contribute to the onset and maintenance of inflammatory responses in the gut. In this chapter, we will describe the most useful techniques adopted to explore EGCs’ response to different immune/inflammatory stimuli, such as bacterial toxin and enteric neurodegenerative disorders (NDs)-related protein.
