Cryopreservation of Pollinia of Tylophora indica
摘要
Tylophora indica, a medicinal plant with diverse therapeutic properties, is increasingly threatened by habitat loss and seasonal reproductive limitations. Cryopreservation of pollinia presents a viable strategy for conserving and sustainably utilizing this valuable species. This study establishes a standardized protocol for the cryopreservation of Tylophora indica pollinia. The process involves the collection of mature pollinia, controlled dehydration, and rapid freezing in liquid nitrogen. Post-cryopreservation viability tests confirm the effectiveness of the technique in preserving pollen integrity and germination potential. This method ensures the long-term conservation of genetic resources, facilitates breeding programs, and supports ongoing conservation efforts for Tylophora indica.
