By collecting pollen under optimal conditions, assessing its viability through in vitro germination, and storing it in liquid nitrogen, this method effectively halts metabolic and biological activities, preventing degradation. Cryopreservation ensures the preservation of valuable genetic material, facilitates controlled pollination, supports hybrid seed production, and maintains important male parent lines, all of which are essential for breeding programs and conservation efforts.
