Target RNA Recognition of MicroRNA-Mediated RNA Silencing
摘要
Gene expression undergoes precise regulation across various stages, from transcription through translation to degradation. An integral player in this regulation is microRNA (miRNA), a small noncoding RNA that modulates gene expression by inducing mRNA degradation or translational repression through sequence complementarities. This section describes experimental methods and useful web tools for predicting and validating RNA–RNA interactions in the context of miRNA-mediated RNA silencing. These methods are also applicable for analyzing potential off-target effects induced by small interfering RNA (siRNA).
