This chapter outlines a practical approach to synthesizing thermoresponsive ELPs using liquid-phase peptide synthesis (LPPS) with a hydrophobic benzyl alcohol support (HBA-Tag) and fragment condensation. This method effectively produces short ELPs that exhibit temperature-responsive self-assembly.
