First we look at the Coma Cluster to see what a galaxy cluster looks like from the outside. Then we examine the central region of our own cluster, the Virgo Cluster, with an image showing Markarian’s Chain and the central galaxy of the Cluster, M87. M87 is looked at in more detail, to find the blue jet shooting out of its active nucleus. We mention in passing the remarkable infrared image of the region around the six-billion-solar-mass central black hole in M87. Next we look at a group of Galaxies in the cluster known as the Leo Triplet. Each of these requires a different approach to processing. Then we look at two other members of the cluster, the flocculent M63 and the subtle M64, both tricky to process. Finally, we examine a pair of interacting galaxies in Markarian’s Chain known as the Eyes Galaxies.
