Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is a valuable source of biomarkers for neurological diseases due to its proximity to the central nervous system. Phosphorylation, a common post-translational modification, plays crucial roles in cellular signaling and is dysregulated in various neurological disorders. Analysis of the CSF phosphoproteome using titanium dioxide (TiO2) enrichment coupled with high-resolution liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) technique unveils a diverse array of phosphorylated proteins and their corresponding phosphorylation sites, shedding light on the intricate regulatory networks within CSF. The combination of TiO2 enrichment and high-resolution LC-MS/MS offers a robust and sensitive approach to studying the phosphoproteome, providing valuable insights into cellular signaling dynamics and disease mechanisms.
