The Micro-Tom variety stands out as a valuable research tool due to its smaller size and shorter life cycle compared to other tomato varieties. This facilitates stable transformation from explants in a period of around 3 months to obtain shoots, with a high rate of successful transformation. Here, we present an effective and replicable methodology for the transformation of Micro-Tom cotyledons by means of Agrobacterium tumefaciens.
