The previous chapters have focused on methods for constructing designs that maximize the information gain for a given number of observations. In this chapter, these methods are extended to cases where the researcher focuses on additional constraints, such as different types of “cost” bounds, or cases where the recommended design provides “reasonable” values for several optimality criteria.

摘要

The previous chapters have focused on methods for constructing designs that maximize the information gain for a given number of observations. In this chapter, these methods are extended to cases where the researcher focuses on additional constraints, such as different types of “cost” bounds, or cases where the recommended design provides “reasonable” values for several optimality criteria.
