A Practical Guide to Metabolic and Molecular Imaging in Atypical Parkinsonism
摘要
This chapter provides an introduction to brain imaging methods beyond magnetic resonance imaging and their implications for the clinical management of atypical parkinsonian syndromes. Modern metabolic and molecular imaging techniques such as positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) allow for the assessment of metabolic activity, neurotransmitter dysfunction, or protein deposition in vivo. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of nuclear imaging technologies for neuroscientists, clinical neurologists, psychiatrists, and related disciplines.
