摘要

The use of mass spectrometry in proteomics can generate very large amounts of data. This data needs to be processed by high-throughput software capable of both identifying and quantitating proteins either directly or by inferring them from peptides. Many of these programs, although powerful, are not always intuitive for a neophyte user. This chapter aims at investigating the key functionalities of Protein Prospector, one of the most widely used in-silico tools for protein identification and quantification.
