Hematology and Oncology for Hospitalist
摘要
Microsatellite instability (MSI) versus stable (MSS): as compared with MSI, MSS indicates a poor prognosis in colorectal cancer and thus chemotherapy is needed. MSI is the condition of genetic hypermutability (predisposition to mutation) that results from impaired DNR mismatch repair. MSI colorectal cancer usually responds well to immunotherapy while MSS may not.
