Orchid Cryopreservation Via Protocorms
摘要
Cryopreservation of orchid protocorms requires protocol optimization for different orchid species. Protocorms are ideal materials for cryopreservation in terms of size. Currently, standard protocols are well documented, and protocol modifications focus on investigating suitable conditions in each cryopreservation step. Minimizing physiological damages derived from oxidative stress enhances the survivability and regrowth of post-cryopreserved materials. This chapter focuses on cryopreservation procedures and identifies the critical checkpoints of orchid protocorm cryopreservation.
