Method for the Determination of Oleuropein and Other Phenolic Compounds in Olive Leaves
摘要
Olive leaves are often considered as waste from the olive sector, but they contain valuable compounds that could be used by the industry to transform the leaf into by-product with high added value. These compounds are mostly water soluble, so the use of aqueous extraction acts selectively without posing an environmental problem in the oil mills and can revalue this waste. Thus, an aqueous extraction and Reversed-Phase-High-Performance Liquid Chromatography-Diode Array Detection (RP-HPLC-DAD) analysis method is proposed.
