Pectooligosaccharides from Agri-Food Byproducts: Methods of Extraction, Purification, and Identification
摘要
Pectooligosaccharides (POS), also known as oligogalacturonides (OGalA), consist of oligosaccharides, produced by the partial hydrolysis of pectin, that are heteropolysaccharides with a complex structure. POS have been deemed as a novel type of prebiotics that can be applied to promote different effects on health. In this document, the basis for the extraction by eco-friendly processes (hydrothermal and enzymatic treatments), purification (precipitation and diafiltration), and identification (HPLC, HPAEC-PAD, MALDI-TOF-MS) of OGalA will be assessed.
