Identification and Quantification of Phospholipids by HPLC/ELSD: Application to Bovine Milk Phospholipids
摘要
The quantification of phospholipids, including glycerophospholipids and sphingolipids (mainly sphingomyelin in bovine milk), requires an extraction of total lipids from samples and then their analysis by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) combined with an evaporative light scattering detector (ELSD). The sum of glycerophospholipids (PE, PI, PS, and PC) and sphingomyelin concentration is regarded as total phospholipid concentration.
