Purification of Lipids by Cold-Acetone Precipitation
摘要
Cold-acetone precipitation is a very simple way to isolate polar lipids from a total lipid extract. This chapter details a simple procedure to prepare phospholipids or polar (phospholipids + glycolipids) fractions at the laboratory scale from total lipid extracts or from commercial lecithins. The method includes the precipitation of the polar lipids at 4 °C followed by their recovery by centrifugation or filtration. The recovered fractions usually contain less than 1% neutral lipids.
