Protargol Staining Technique for Identification of Soil Protists
摘要
Protargol staining technique is an excellent way to view the cellular organs of protists such as nuclei, cytostome, cilia, and flagella and to achieve identification for placing the microorganisms in their right place in the taxa. There are a variety of protists present in the soil, especially the ciliates and flagellates whose subcellular structure can be permanently stained with Protargol. We have discussed the protocols for Montagnes-Lynn method for Protargol staining along with reagents required.
