Most Probable Number (MPN) Method for Enumeration of Soil Protists
摘要
The most probable number (MPN) technique has been widely used to enumerate environmental microorganisms, including soil protists. This culture-dependent method often underestimates the real abundance but still has several benefits, including isolating target protists after incubation. Here, I describe an example of the MPN method to enumerate phagotrophic protists in soil with optional information.
