摘要

Aquaculture significantly contributes to the supply of aquatic food for human consumption. Crustacean production has shown the fastest growth in the new century among the main subgroups of aquaculture species. Additionally, crab is thought to be particularly nourishing. It is a good source of trace minerals and provides high-quality proteins with an optimal balance of the key amino acids. There is growing evidence that probiotics benefit farmed animals in terms of their health and productivity. In this study, the postbiotic Pediococcus pentosaceus is used to examine the effects of food supplementation on crab development, nutritional indices, and metabolic condition.
